Processing Times

We believe in being completely transparent about timelines. Here's a detailed overview of what you can expect at each stage when you begin your guided application with us.

1

You Complete the Guided Application

15–20 minutes

Our step-by-step process walks you through every field carefully. Take your time — there's no rush. We provide clear explanations at each stage so you understand exactly what's being asked.

Why this matters: A carefully completed application means fewer follow-up questions and a smoother review process.

2

Our Expert Team Reviews Your Details

Typically within 24–72 hours

Once you submit your application, our experienced team begins a thorough, human review. We double-check every detail — your passport number, full legal name, date of birth, travel itinerary, and eligibility responses — to catch any potential oversights.

What happens during review: If our team identifies any inconsistencies or potential issues, we will reach out to you directly before proceeding. We never submit an application we're not confident about.

3

Verified Application Submitted to CBP

Submitted after review is complete

After our team has verified that every detail is accurate and complete, your application is submitted to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) through the official channel.

Your peace of mind: By the time your application reaches CBP, it has been carefully audited by a real person who has checked it for all the common oversights that cause problems.

4

CBP Processes Your Authorization

Usually within 72 hours

Most ESTA determinations are provided by CBP within 72 hours of submission. In some cases, it may take longer depending on individual circumstances. You will be notified by email as soon as a determination is made.

Important: In rare cases, CBP may request additional time for review. This is a normal part of the process and does not necessarily indicate a problem with your application.

Planning Ahead: Our Recommendation

While the total processing time can vary, we strongly recommend beginning your guided application well in advance of your planned departure. Here is our recommended timeline to give you the best experience:

Ideal

2–4 weeks before travel

Gives you ample time to gather documents, complete the application at your own pace, and receive your determination well before departure.

Recommended Minimum

At least 72 hours

This allows time for our expert review, submission, and CBP processing. However, we encourage starting earlier to avoid any pressure.

Last Minute

Less than 72 hours

While we will do our best, last-minute applications carry the risk of not receiving your determination before your flight. We strongly advise against this.

[SECURITY ADVISORY]

We strongly recommend beginning your guided application at least 72 hours before your planned departure. This ensures our team has sufficient time to thoroughly review your details and that CBP has time to process your authorization. Last-minute applications carry the risk of travel disruption.

ESTA Validity & Renewals

Understanding how long your ESTA authorization remains valid is important for planning future trips. Here's what you need to know:

An approved ESTA is generally valid for two years from the date of approval, or until your passport expires — whichever comes first
During the validity period, you may travel to the United States multiple times for stays of up to 90 days each
If you obtain a new passport, change your name, change your gender, change your country of citizenship, or if your circumstances change regarding any of the eligibility questions, you will need to submit a new ESTA application
There is no penalty for applying for a new ESTA before your current one expires — our team is here to help you through the renewal process

[EXPERT NOTE]

If your ESTA is due to expire soon and you have upcoming travel plans, we recommend starting a new guided application well in advance. Our team will review your new application with the same care and thoroughness as your original — we've got you covered.
