ESTA Validity & Travel
An approved ESTA is generally valid for two years from the date of approval, or until your passport expires — whichever comes first. During that period, you may travel to the United States multiple times for stays of up to 90 days each. If you obtain a new passport, change your name, or if your answers to any eligibility questions change, you will need to submit a new application.
No. An approved ESTA authorizes you to board a U.S.-bound carrier (airline or cruise ship), but it does not guarantee entry to the United States. The final determination regarding admission is made by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the port of entry. However, having an accurately completed ESTA significantly reduces the likelihood of issues at the border — which is exactly why our expert review matters.
